The International Caterers Association is a trade association for the catering world, it helps bring together and education caterers from across the globe. As such, they needed a website that gave their members not only the ability to find one another but also to connect and share with each other.
Internationalcaterers.org is built on a WordPress platform and provides the following member services:
- Searchable member directory, listings automatically created
- Member profiles
- Member photo galleries
- Searchable caterers and vendors directory, listings added by members
- Discussion forum
- ‘Resource Room’ – private page for member resources
- Awards submittal process for the CATIE Awards (see catie.internationalcaterers.org)
- Online member registration and renewal, payment via PayPal
In addition to the member services, the website allows the board of the ICA to easily edit, add and remove content without needing a webmaster or full time staff member.
